Program
Students selected for the program will spend from the first week of June to the first week of August working with active research groups at CERN, one of the world’s premier international laboratories.
A good idea of the kinds of possible research projects students may be involved in can be gained from viewing student presentations from previous years: 2011 Photos/Slides, 2011 Video, 2001-2009 Videos.
CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, is the future site of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the birthplace of the World Wide Web.
Eligibility
Students must be registered at an accredited 4 year institution, be in their junior year or senior year and be a concentrator in physics, engineering or computer science.
The program is open to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents. The program will be administered by the University of Michigan Department of Physics, with support from Ford Motor Company and the U.S. National Science Foundation.
The University of Michigan is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
